1. Service description
NordicRoam is a free travel-planning platform for Northern Norway. All tools and content are free with no paid tier — aurora forecasts, route builders, packing lists, recipes, eco-score calculators, AI itinerary generation, hotel and activity directory, and the trip-planning info hub.
2. Account terms
Sign up by providing an email. We send a one-time link to log in. You're responsible for keeping your inbox secure. One person per account. You may delete your account anytime via /account or by emailing us.
3. Content ownership
Tools, content, code, design, and data on NordicRoam are owned by us or licensed. You retain ownership of saved trips you create. By creating a public share-link to your trip, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it.
4. AI-generated content disclaimer
Itineraries, packing lists, and other AI outputs are suggestions. Verify safety-critical info (weather, road conditions, hike difficulty, emergency contacts) with official Norwegian sources (yr.no, vegvesen.no, 113 emergency). NordicRoam is NOT liable for outdoor incidents, injuries, or losses related to following AI-generated suggestions.
5. Outdoor activity disclaimer
Northern Norway is wild Arctic terrain. Aurora chasing, hiking, and bobil travel involve real risks (sub-zero temperatures, avalanches, sudden storms, remote terrain without phone signal). You assume full responsibility for your safety. Always check weather, file trip plans, carry safety equipment.
6. Acceptable use
Don't scrape automated bulk data. Don't attempt to break authentication. Don't upload illegal content. Don't impersonate. Violations result in account termination without refund.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. You may close your account anytime. Saved trips are deleted on closure unless you export them first.
8. Liability limit
We're a small team and the service is free of charge. Liability is capped at 0 NOK. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or third-party service failures (Resend, Vercel outages).
9. Governing law
Norwegian law. Disputes resolved by Senja tingrett (Senja district court) unless mandatory consumer protection law applies elsewhere.
