Svolvær to Å with hikes at Reinebringen, Ryten, Festvågtinden. Includes one rest day in Reine for sea kayaking.

  1. Day 1

    • Start: Svolvær

      Pick up your rental at the Svolvær harbor depot. Pre-stock at the Rema 1000 on Vestfjordgata before driving south — Reine prices add 30%.

    • Festvågtinden hike

      Trailhead at Kalle. 2-hour climb, brutal first 20 min, then it eases. View straight back over Svolvær and east into Trollfjorden.

    • Overnight: Henningsvær

      Park outside the village and walk in — the inner streets are too narrow for any van. Klatrekafeen for soup and bouldering chat.

  2. Day 2

    • Ryten + Kvalvika beach

      Park at Innersand (kr 100/day, MobilePay). 3.5-hour loop: down to Kvalvika beach, up to Ryten viewpoint, back. Stand on the famous overhanging rock only with both hands free.

      Book a sjøhus (over-water cabin) months ahead. Bringen restaurant has the only fresh-bread breakfast in the village.

  3. Day 3

    • Reinebringen sunrise

      Set the alarm. The Sherpa stairs make it doable, but ice glazes them above 400 m even in June. Microspikes recommended before July.

    • Rest day: Reine kayak

      Reine Adventure rents sea kayaks by the half day. Round trip Reine → Sakrisøy → Hamnøy is calm in morning offshore wind.

  4. Day 4

    • Bunes beach hike

      Ferry from Reine to Vindstad (45 min). Walk 4 km across the saddle to Bunes. Tide-dependent — go at low water for the longest sand.

  5. Day 5

    • End: Å i Lofoten

      Return drive Reine → Å takes 12 minutes. Visit the dried fish museum, then drive back to Svolvær (3 h) for return ferry/flight.
