  1. Day 1

    • Start: Sortland

      Pick up your rental near the blue houses. Stock up at Eurospar — the only big supermarket before the islands.

    • Overnight: Stø fishing village

      Tip of Langøya. Holmvik Brygge has rorbu cabins and runs the small whale-watching boat that goes when the bigger Andenes operators are full.

  2. Day 2

    • Nyksund coastal trail

      Walk Stø → Nyksund along Dronningruta (3-4 hours one way). Sea eagles, abandoned fishing huts now turned into tiny galleries. Take the boat shuttle back if your knees say so.

  3. Day 3

    • Andenes whale safari

      Drive 1 hr north. Whale2Sea or Whalesafari AS — book the morning trip, sea is calmer. Re-route via Bleik on the way back.

    • Bleik beach + Bleiksøya

      2.4 km of white sand, the offshore Bleiksøya rock holds Norway's biggest puffin colony. Bring binoculars or join Puffin Safari boat.

  4. Day 4

    • End: Andenes ferry to Senja

      Andenes → Gryllefjord ferry runs 2-3x daily May–Sep, kr 750 per car. Connects directly to the Senja loop (route 1).
